Under direct supervision performs duties related to the acceptance and processing of various payments to the City, and provides a wide variety of clerical assistance to the Finance Department.
Reports to the Finance Director.
Collects and receipts payments to the City; such as utility bills, assessments, parking violations, garage sale permits, dog licenses, occupational licenses, water and sewer deposits, community center rent, recreation fees, police revenue, code liens, etc.
Processes payments received through the mail and night deposits.
Posts payments to correct revenue accounts and maintains daily balanced cash drawersReceives Deposit Credit Requests and forwards them to the appropriate personnelRetrieves and opens incoming utility bill mailPerforms a variety of receptionist duties directing customers to appropriate personnel and providing information and assistanceRequirementsHigh school diploma required2-4years of customer service and general office experienceValid Florida driver's license preferredBusiness and computer training preferredAny equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilitiesBenefitsMedical InsuranceFlorida Health Care PlansDental InsurancePrincipal Life and Long Term Disability InsuranceAbout the Company:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
